John Phillip Miller, 85, of Blanchester, Ohio passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017 surrounded by family. He was the beloved father of Jim (Laura) Miller and Phillip (Helen) Miller; loving grandfather to numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; dear brother of Mary Ellen Dune, Juanita Fields, Frank Miller and Barbara Rhodes; father-in-law of Jim Cooper and Jan Miller; survived by many friends and loved ones. John was preceded in death by his wives, Patricia Ann (Metzger) Miller and Virgie (Taylor) Miller; daughters, Linda Sue Cooper and Nancy Marie Lester; sons, Dennis Miller and Jackie Miller; brother, William "Bill" Miller; parents, Harry and Austa Miller. A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ohio, where friends will be received from 11am until the time of service. Blanchester Masonic Lodge No. 191 F. & A.M. will hold services at 12:50pm. Interment will take place at Graceland Memorial Gardens, Milford, Ohio. Memorial donations may be directed to the Blanchester Fire Department, 447 E Fancy St, Blanchester, OH 45107.
