John E. Murphy was born December 27, 1945 in South Lebanon, OH to the late John W. Murphy and Minnie (nee Reed) Murphy . John passed away on January 13, 2013 in Jamestown, OH at the age of 67. John was a Navy veteran who served during Vietnam. John also worked for Western Southern as a successful salesman in Hillsboro, OH and the surrounding areas. He was the loving husband of 43 years to Phyllis (nee Hodge) Murphy; beloved brother to three sisters Rose (Dick) Ott, Shirley (Bob)Boyd, Patricia (Pearl) Cox and two brothers Harold (Maureen )Murphy and the late Paul Murphy. John was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Wednesday January 16, 2013 from 10-11AM at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home 120 W. Main St. Blanchester, OH 45107 Funeral services will follow at 11AM with Pastor Calvin Martin officiating.
