John Clinton Meece

Born May 28, 1929, in Somerset KY to the late William Elmer and Dora Sear Meece, he passed away in Jacksonville, FL on April 29,2023. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Thelma Rutherford Meece They were married 37 1/2 years.

He was survived by his 3 children Sherry Meece Schimp (Terry), Kimberly Meece, and Jeffrey Meece. 8 Grandchildren, Misty Schwind, Alisha Day, Candice Dyer, Heather Meece, Stacy Meece, Joseph Schimp, Tyler Schimp, Lauren Schimp Pierce (Todd) and 26 great grandchildren.

Siblings, Loretha Meece Colyer, Gordon Howard Meece, Iva Dean Meece Dykes, Ronald Meece, Clifford Meece. He was Preceded in death by, Evalene Meece Phelps, Ray J. Meece, William Dewey Meece, Helen Elenora Meece.

He was a devoted family man, Proud Navy Vet. He loved to fish, hunt, play cards, and read. He was the most honest, loving, caring, and stubborn man, with the biggest heart. He was also very quick witted and kept us all smiling and laughing. God blessed us all just to have him in our lives.

Services will be held at Tufts-Schildmeyer Funeral in Loveland, Ohio. May 6, 2023 at 11:30 am, where family and friends will be received from 10:30 am until time of service. Interment Deerfield Cemetery, S. Lebanon.
