John L. Kretchek, 88, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away on June 24, 2023.

Born September 2, 1934, son of John Kretchek and Mafalda (nee Sartori) Garono. John spent 20 years in the Ohio Air National Guard.

He was the beloved husband of Pauline Ann (nee Chalupka) Kretchek; proud father of Mary (Dave) Gough, Larry (Sandy) Kretchek, and Jack (Sandie) Kretchek; loving grandfather of Stefanie (Scott) Gough Wolf, Mike (Stacie) Gough, Kristen (Peyton) Gough Nau, Jemmae Morgan, John Kretchek, Adam (Whitney) Kretchek, Alex (Carlos) Kretchek, Austin Kretchek, and Ashley (Anthony) Cardosi; great-grandfather of Charlotte Wolf, Chance White, Leon Tyman, McKenzie Morgan, Braydon Kretchek, Noah Kretchek, Addison Kretchek, Bli Kretchek, and Louie Cardosi; great-great-grandfather of Grayson Kretchek.

John was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 12pm on July 7, 2023, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main Street, Blanchester, Ohio, where friends will be received from 11am until the time of service.

Inurnment will take place at Clarksville Cemetery following the memorial service.
