HUEBER John Kendall "Ken", beloved husband of 55 years of Beth Hueber (nee Brockman) and devoted father of ten children; Maribeth, John Jr., Dan (Janine), Nancy (Terry) Litzler, Meg (Roger) Witt, Jody (deceased), Matt, Richard, Trish (Jim) Montag, Luke; twenty-eight grandchildren; six great-grand children; dear brother of Joy Ann Frank. He was preceded in death by his parents John William and Dorothy Cecilia (nee Kendall) Hueber, sister Dorothy Vaughan, nephew John D. Vaughan, and niece Angela Frank. He died at home Sunday, June 26, 2005 at the age of 77 years. Ken grew up in Hyde Park, the youngest of three children, graduated from Withrow High School and went on to serve in the 35th Army Infantry in Japan during World War II. He married Mary Elizabeth Brockman "Beth" and their journey began. An industrious, resourceful man he worked at various jobs before starting Acme Service Company on Gilbert Ave, where he sharpened saws and sold and repaired lawn and garden equipment. Known among family and friends as a man who could repair anything and preferred fixing it up to buying new. Ken had great creative, inventive and problem solving abilities. He began his second business Farm and Forest Inc. with the distributorship of Stihl chain saws in a seven state area. He later sold the Stihl distributorship to Bryan Equipment Sales Inc. and went to work for Stihl American and Stihl Inc. where he worked with dedication for 30 years in many capacities. Living most years after marriage in Loveland/Milford area Ken always maintained farmland in Clermont or Brown County. He loved his farms, nature and gardening, growing much of the food for his large family. He was a member of the American Tree Farmers and most pleased when the state Agricultural agents took seeds from his trees to plant all over Ohio. He was most generous with his time and talents giving the "work of his hands" in helping friends and family tackle anything and sharing whatever he had, and supporting many with his efforts; his gift of a helping hand was given far and wide. Ken and Beth were very supportive of the youth group at Saint Columban opening home and farm to many of their events. Although Ken traveled extensively during his work years his love of family home and nature were where his heart laid. A Sea Scout when young Ken kept a canoe or boat on the waters of Ohio or Florida. A man of tireless energy he also rehabbed more than sixty homes in Cincinnati, Florida and Texas. Ken was devoted to his family, home and work, a man of integrity and heart. Services will be held at the Oasis Conference center from 11:am to 1:pm with memorial starting at 11:am followed by buffet lunch at 12:00.
