John Michael Hoffman "Mike" was born September 16, 1966 to Jack and Ina "Fran" Hoffman and passed away November 28, 2017 at the age of 51. He was an EMT and Firefighter since 1997. Assistant Fire Instructor, HazMat Technician, Brown County Dispatcher for 5 years. During his service, he ran for Medic One, Blanchester EMS, Georgetown EMS, First Care and Jefferson Twp. He started with Jefferson Twp. Fire Department in 2000 and was promoted to Assistant Chief in 2006 and became Fire Chief in 2011. He is survived by the love of his life, Sandra (nee Curry) Wisby; children, Johna Hardin, Melissa (Travis) Caldwell, Kayla Hoffman, Marybeth Hoffman, Nicholas Wisby and A.J. Wisby; grandchildren, Charlise Hardin, Charlotte Hardin, Xander, Adley, Alayna and Oaklyn Wisby; brothers, David A. (Kim) Hoffman and Christopher N. (Anna) Hoffman; a sister Heather J. (Michael) Pruitt; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 6-9 PM with Masonic Services at 8:30 PM on Friday December 1, 2017 at the Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St. Blanchester, OH 45107, where services will be held on Saturday December 2, 2017 at 11 AM. Interment Westboro I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Jefferson Twp., OH.
