John "Johnny" Henry Jr passed away on Jan 9 at 54 years of age. John was a 1980 graduate of Blanchester High School via The Nike Center. John was a life long lover of country music and fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals. You could always find him watching their games and when they scored, doing his special touch down dance. You can also bet your money he was a fan of Mickey Mouse. In his leisure time, he enjoyed walking. John worked at the Orion Center in Wilmington OH for over 25 years. Lived in Wilmington Ohio the past 25 years. John is proceeded in death just a short 10 months ago by his mother, Karen (Sloan) Henry originally from Twin Falls ID but called Blanchester home the past 55 years. Both were members of Grace United Methodist Church. Karen spent a life being an advocate for those whom had mental and physical handicaps. This allowed John to see an extensive part of the United States traveling with his family and later with his extended family in semi-independent living. John participated in the Special Olympics in Columbus; running and soft-ball throws where he often medaled. As well as being successful in the Semi-independent living program. John bowled and traveled. Just this year John was the winner of the Community Options Christmas Card design in Mason OH. By choice of family, Just as his mom gave her body to the UC Medical Program, John will continue his gift through Cincinnati Life Center donor program. John leaves behind his father, John Henry, Sister Tina (Jeff) Morris with Ashley. Rexton and Quinton, Brother Donald (Christy) Henry with Terry and Casie. His extended family through assisted living, David, Lisa, Mickey, Shannon, Becky, Amy, Cheri, Joy, Charles, , Rebecca and Symba. As well as Aunts, Uncles and Cousins from CA, OR to ID, OH and VA.
