John William Guthrie III of Loveland, OH. Went home to be with the Lord on January 6, 2022 at the age of 77. Born on March 11, 1944 in Cincinnati, OH. Beloved husband of Karen S. (nee Vandawalker) Chinn Guthrie and the late Beverly Sue (nee Cooper) Guthrie. Loving father of Mike (Patti) Guthrie, Chris (Traci) Guthrie, Angel (David) Ashmore, Denise (Chris) Harris and John (Jennifer) Guthrie IV. Step-father of Rebecca Allen, Melinda Riddell and Heath (Laura) Chinn. Proud grandfather of Bryan Guthrie, Madison Guthrie and Josef Bruce, Kayla and Beverly Ashmore, Nick, Avery, Braden and Cameron Harris, John V, Samantha and AJ Guthrie, Annette Holden, Tara (Chris)Webb, Mandy, Madison and Hayden Chinn. Caring great-grandfather of Sierra Holden, Tristin and Trey Matherne. Dear brother of Dennis (Suzanne) Guthrie, Ann Joyner, Gay Sweet, Lynn Doyle and the late Ray Guthrie. Devoted brother-in-law of Sherry Grooms. Cherished son of the late John William Jr. and Nora Nellavene (nee Haney) Guthrie. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends. John proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and Cuban Missal Crisis. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 36 years. He was a faithful member for over 50 years at Branch Hill Baptist Church, Loveland, OH. He was known by many as, one of the most beloved and caring men you could ever meet. Friends will be received on Friday, January 14 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Branch Hill Baptist Church, 6526 Branch Hill-Guinea Pike, Loveland, where a SW Ohio VFW Military Service will begin at 8 PM. Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 15 at 10 AM at Branch Hill Baptist Church. Interment with military honors, Rose Hill Cemetery, Deerfield TWP, OH. Memorial donations may be made in memory of John Guthrie III to The Mission Fund, Branch Hill Baptist Church, 6526 Branch Hill-Guinea Pike, Loveland, OH 45140   Pastor Joel Greer will be the minister for John's services.
