John Carrolton Spinks, 96, died Monday, December 3, 2012, at Continental Manor, Blanchester, OH. Beloved husband of 57 years to the late Elnora "Nora" Virginia (nee Dollenmeyer) Spinks. Mr. Spinks was born on July 2, 1916 in Clinton County, OH., son of the late Hartman and Evaline (nee Garrison) Spinks. John was a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church. He is survived by two sons; Gene Pelfrey of Bronxville, NY. and Paul (Judy) York of Apple Valley, CA. and a daughter, Debbie Broady of Stockton, CA., stepson, Darel (Janet) Titus of Loveland, OH. and step daughter-in-law, Rita Titus of Wilmington, OH.; grandchildren, Christian Pelfrey, Rebecca Pelfrey, Loni Basich, Lori Bromenschenkel, Danielle Stonage, Danice Johnson, Daniel Nesbitt, Adam (Destiny) York, Chris (Jennifer) York, Chrystal (Shaun) Bell and Tim York, step grandchildren; Duane (Kimberly) Titus, Ronnie Titus and Wendy (Ken Van Gemerden) Goodloe; great-grandchildren; Kanduis, Kendrick, Vayda, Ema, Isabel, Gavin, Evan, Amber, Michelle, Destiny, Jacob, Zachary, Kristian, Taylor, Niklas, Kylee, Olivia, Chase, step great-grandchildren; Summer (John), Kayla, Tyler, Cassidy, Ean, Madison, Braedon and Carson, step great-great grandchildren; Maleah; brother, Jerry Spinks and numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Spinks was preceded in death by his sister, Bea Macy and brothers, Herman Spinks and Dick Spinks and a step-son, Larry Titus of Wilmington, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 7, 11:30 AM, at St. Columbkille Holy Name Chapel, 740 Bourbon St., Blanchester, OH. 45107.
