Joel Andrew Vanover of Mt. Carmel, OH., went home to be with the Lord on January 15, 2025, at the age of 46. Joel was born on March 5, 1978, in Cincinnati, OH to Allen and Deborah Vanover.

Joel is survived by his three boys that he loved very much, Jacob, Joseph and Jackson Vanover, loving mother, Deborah Kay (nee Mattingly) Vanover, one brother, Robert (Yan) Vanover, two sisters, Becky (Scott) Behymer and Rachel (Jerry) Cluff, also survived and loved by numerous, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Joel is preceded in death by his dad, Allen Roy Vanover, nephew, Caleb R. Behymer.

Joel proudly served in the United States Navy. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Friends will be received from 11 AM to 1 PM on Friday, January 24 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where services will begin at 1 PM on Friday. Rev. Diann O'Bryant officiating.

Interment with military honors will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Miamiville, OH.

Pallbearers for Joel are: Rob Vanover, Jacob Vanover, Joseph Vanover, Scott Behymer, Jerry Cluff, and Roy Ray.

Honorary Pallbearers are: Andy Mattingly-Sims and Eric Berchtold.
