Obituary

Joe S. Brown of Cincinnati died peacefully after a brief illness on Tuesday, November 3rd, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Sally Myers Brown, his children Pierce Allen Brown (Amy), Megan Brown Cibulas (Bill) and Jeffrey Donald Brown (Laura). He was the proudest and most loving “Pop” to Rylee, Reagan, Joe, Kelsey, Kaitlyn and Mackenzie.

Joe was born on May 21, 1949, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, to Allen and Josephine Brown, who preceded him in death. He is survived by 5 younger siblings, Laura Cobb (Steve), Debbie Kopple (Johnny), Boody Brown, Brad Brown (Susan), and Dunlop Brown (Sandy). Thanks to his large family, he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Joe served in the Army upon graduating from Madeira High School. After his service, he returned to Cincinnati where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business from University of Cincinnati. For nearly 50 years, he was a highly respected member of the Blue Ash Business Community, owning and operating a successful State Farm Agency which he built from the ground up. He was such a devoted agent to his many policyholders and a true friend to his vast State Farm Family.

One of his passions following many years of 60-70 hour work weeks, was his love for golf. He was a very active member at O’Bannon Creek Golf Club, serving on the Board of Directors and many committees. He developed so many close friends throughout the years and will be missed by many.

Sally and their children will be hosting a Celebration of Joe’s life on Saturday, December 5th, at Cooper Creek Event Center, located at the Blue Ash Golf Course from 4:00pm - 8:00pm. All who can attend are welcome.

A private interment will take place at a later date.
