JoAn Buckler Dickerson

God called JoAn home on August 4th, 2025, at the age of 92. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Born on December 8th, 1932 in St Mary's Kentucky to Joseph L. and Florence Cecil Buckler.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years Roger Jr. Dickerson, her brother Joe Buckler, sister Sr. Francis Buckler SCN, and her son in law Jim Nordloh. Loving mother to Roger W. Dickerson III, J. Paul Dickerson, and Carol Nordloh. Proud Grandmother of Jimmy and Jack Nordloh and Spencer and Garrett Dickerson Janning.

JoAn  graduated from Nazareth College, in Bardstown KY where she met her husband Roger, and lived out her school's creed: "The love of Christ Impels us". She was a devout Catholic and lived a truly Christ-like life. She treated all with love, compassion, and a fundamental respect for the eternal soul within us all.

An amazing wife, mother, and doting grandmother who put all of our needs before her own. She was a talented artist, gardener, and seamstress who created beautiful things we will all cherish forever.

JoAn was a woman of incredible strength and virtue. We will all miss her dearly but take comfort in knowing that she lived a long full life of faith, family and spiritual peace.

Visitation will be August 13th from 10:45-11:45, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm at Good Shepherd Church, 8815 E. Kemper Rd, Montgomery Ohio. Memorials may be made to Sisters of Charity of Nazareth Missions, Nazareth Ky, or a charity of your choice.
