Joan M. Arlinghaus (nee Hunnefeld), age 97, passed away May 25, 2026. Joan was born March 16, 1929, to the late Frederick and Emma Hunnefeld. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth T. Arlinghaus; children Danny Arlinghaus, Denise Johnson, and David Arlinghaus; brothers, Jerome Hunnefeld, Ralph Hunnefeld, Edwin Hunnefeld, Norbert Hunnefeld and Fred Hunnefeld; sisters, Thelma Tarvin, Mildred Judge, Gertrude Bell, and Rosemary Hook.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Jeffrey Kunzelman) Arlinghaus-Kunzelman; daughter-in-law, Jeanette Arlinghaus; son-in-law, John Johnson; daughter-in-law, Pauline (Rick) Smith; grandchildren, Jill, Sarah, Michael, Jacob, Eric, Wyatt, Danielle, and Josh; 13 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be greatly missed.

Joan loved being around people. She worked in customer service at Dillards (formerly McAlpin's), and wherever she was a party followed.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 4 from 10-11 AM in the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Ave., Loveland, where funeral services will be held at 11 AM. Interment Graceland Memorial Gardens.
