Jimmie Rose Jr. age 78, of Jackson TWP, OH. Born on December 25, 1934 in White Lily, KY., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 5, 2013. Beloved husband of 48 years to Joyce A. (Whitis) Rose. Loving father of Debra (Freddie) Way. Caring grandfather of Jessica, Ashley and Michael Way and Brittany Freson. Dear brother of Irene Meece, Marie Gregory, Ray Rose and the late Cory Meece, Mary Lyons, Margaret Jones, Mae Saylor, Bessie, Loretta, Albert, Harvey, Everett and Fred Rose. Cherished son of the late James Dressler and Luradell (Vanover) Rose. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Jimmie was most recently a member of First Baptist Church of Goshen. He served for many years as deacon of his former church. Friends received from 6 PM - 8 PM, Tuesday, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen. Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Goshen on Wednesday, January 9, 11 AM. Internment, Graceland Memorial Gardens, Milford, OH. Pastor Junior Pitman of First Baptist Church of Goshen and Pastor Darrell Horsley of Temple Baptist Church in Springdale will be the presiding ministers for Jimmie's services.
