Jessie M. Veite, 86 of Goshen passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2008, peacefully at home. Born September 15, 1921 in Perintown, Ohio, Jessie was the daughter of the late William B. Pierson and Mabel G. Thomas Pierson. Jessie was an LPN for 36 years. She retired from Emerson A. North Hospital, as charge nurse, in 1978. She is survived by her son Wesley J. Veite of Mason, Ohio, daughter Debora (Dan) Strunk, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and eight grandchildren, Robert J. (Sherry) Veite, Sheila Bartlett, Tina (Mark) Brandstetter, Jessica Leicht, Douglas (Laura) Veite, Diane (Daniel) Nimmo, Debra Veite, Denise Veite and eleven great grandchildren, dear friends Johnny Roy (Shirley) Thompson, Victoria L. Marsh and lifelong friend, Edna Martin. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Jessie was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Veite, Sr., son, Edward J. Veite, Jr., great grandson Mark Anthony Brandstetter, four sisters, Elizabeth Heeg, Dorothea Burris, Gertrude Chitwood, Virginia Carter and one brother, George Pierson. Pastor Wes Kennedy, Open Door Baptist Church, Anderson, Ohio, presiding the services.
