Jerry Thomas "Birddog" Walker, also known as "Jumpin' Jer," age 82, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, at Mimi's House in Maineville, Ohio. He was born on December 30, 1942, in Blue Ash, Ohio, to Thomas and Leona (Faul) Walker.
Jerry was a devoted husband, father, papa, great-grandfather, and friend whose warmth and vibrant spirit touched everyone he met.
He is survived by his brother, Danny Walker; children, Chas Walker, Brad (Tabi) Walker, and Stephen (Dee Dee) Walker; grandchildren, Cody Walker, Chase (Caihla) Walker, Cheyenne (Matt) Brandenburg, Brieh Walker, and Darbi Walker; and great-grandchildren, Maverick, Copelin, Charlee, Crosley, and Cannon. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bobbi Walker; parents, Thomas and Leona Walker; and siblings, Neil, Stan, Bill, and Alice Walker.
Jerry taught for 35 years at Oak Hills, Loveland, and Sycamore Schools. A charter Hall of Fame member at Sycamore High School, he earned a record 16 athletic letters. He coached football, track and field, wrestling, and junior high girls' basketball, inspiring countless students over the years.
A man of many talents, Jerry loved music and played the harmonica, banjo, and guitar for family and friends. He enjoyed woodworking, card games, and cheering for his Cincinnati Reds, Bengals, Bearcats, Buckeyes, and Browns. His favorite place was Gatlinburg, especially relaxing in Chimney Rocks with family, carving sticks, and sharing lunch together.

Friends are invited to attend a service Celebrating Jerry's life at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home 129 N Riverside Dr Loveland Wednesday December 10, 2025, at 11:00am, where friends will be received at a visitation Wednesday December 10, 2025 9:00am – 11:00am. Interment Rest Haven Memorial Park Evendale, Ohio.
