Jerard "Jerry" D. Payne of Morrow, OH passed on March 29, 2024, at the age of 84. Jerry was born May 16, 1939, in Dayton, OH, to the late Jess Fox and Mary Zella (née Dean) Payne.

Beloved husband to the late Geraldine (née Morgan) Payne of 60 years. Cherished father of Becky (Tommy) Baker, David (Tonda) Payne, and Donna (Mark) Hampton. Proud grandfather of Ashley Payne, Aaron (Bridget) Payne, Jordon (Katie) Payne, Trevor (Samatha) Payne, Jake Hampton, Hayden (Haley) Hampton, Jeff Baker, and Tammy (Eldon) Huff. Caring great grandfather of Kaleb Payne, Walker Payne, Asher Payne, Ethan Baker, Hop Huff, and two more on the way. Cherished brother of the Margiebelle Bulpin, Ruth (Micheal) Dewitt, and the late Thurman, Hiram, Edward, Marcel and Garland. Jerry is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

Jerry served in the United States Air Force from 1956-1958. He worked and retired from the Teamsters Local 100. He kept himself busy after retirement. He loved to play cards, to buy sell and trade, and country music. He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports.

Friends will be received from 10 am to 11am on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, where services will begin at 11 am on Friday. Interment, Edwardsville Cemetery.
