Jean Blanche Woytko, a woman of immense heart, boundless warmth, and a beautifully "spicy" spirit, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2026, at the age of 82, with her daughter Stephie (as she called her) by her side.
Known for a smile that could light up an entire room, she lived a life dedicated to the people and activities she loved most. Her journey began on March 16, 1944, when she was born in The Borough of Princeton, New Jersey to Herman and Ruth (Prout) Oehme.
Her faith and community were anchors in her life. She was a dedicated member of the Chester Friends Meeting in Wilmington, Ohio, where she loved spending her Sunday mornings in fellowship.
Her social calendar was always brightened by her friends at the local senior center, where she brought her competitive and fun-loving energy to regular games of chair volleyball.
She loved adventure just as much as she loved her routine. Saturdays were special days spent feeding the ducks with her close friend, Dick. She also cherished vacationing with Stephanie and Gerry, creating lasting memories wherever they went from Niagara Falls to Panama City, FL. One of her absolute favorite destinations was Puerto Rico, where she loved visiting her grandson, Michael, and his wife, Antonia, and experiencing the pure joy of swimming in the ocean.
Above all else, her family and friends were her world. She loved with her whole heart, and that fierce, unconditional love is the lasting legacy she leaves behind. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Leslie Oehme and her beloved husband, Robert Woytko.
She is survived by her loving family, daughter Stephanie Phelps, son-in-law Gerry Phelps, grandson Michael Weisbrod and his wife Antonia Samur. Her devoted companion and friend, Dick Mitchener, and a community of deeply cherished friends.
She also leaves behind, daughter Lorelei Weisbrod, daughter Michelle Atkins and granddaughter Samantha Atkins.
