IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jean C.
Nolte
December 27, 1928 – December 4, 2023
Jean C. Nolte (nee Weinman), passed away peacefully with her family present on December 4th, 2023, at the age of 94, in her hometown of Cincinnati, OH. Born on December 27th, 1928, also in Cincinnati, she lived a life marked by devotion to her family, her faith, and commitment to service.
Jean was the beloved wife of the late Walter C. Nolte, with whom she shared 50 years of marriage. She was a cherished mother to her children, Mary Ann Brockman, Kathleen (Glen) Haugen, Terri (Eugene) Rutz, and the late Laurie Casey. Her role as a mother extended with grace to her son-in-law, Patrick Casey.
She was a devoted grandmother to Bradley (Jula) Haugen, Kimberly (Daniel) Forehand, Kellee (Brent) Allar, Nathan (Paige) Rutz, Aaron (Tatiana) Rutz, Jacob (Jacqueline) Rutz, and Leah Rutz, Brian Casey, and Michelle (Wesley Carney) Casey. Jean's nurturing spirit was also a cherished gift to her nine great-grandchildren, whose lives she touched with her warmth and faith.
Jean was a loving sister to Nancy (Bill) Schill, George (the late Ruth) Weinman, and was preceded in death by her brother Richard Weinman. She was also a caring sister-in-law to Betty Jo Weinman.
Throughout her life, Jean was involved in her community and church, such as the Girl Scouts, where she served as a troop leader. She took great pride in her involvement with various school activities, recognizing the importance of being present and engaged in the educational journeys of her children through PTA and Room Mother. Jean was a member of the church council, and she served as a Vacation Bible School teacher and was a leader in the St Paul Lutheran Women's Ministry. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence.
Jean was especially an inspiration to her grandchildren and was always there to support them in their activities throughout their lives. She would take time to talk and listen. She was the communication glue and a prayer warrior for her entire family.
As we bid farewell to Jean, we celebrate a life extraordinarily well-lived. We take comfort in knowing that her legacy of love, service, and faith will continue to resonate in the hearts and lives of those she touched. Jean C. Nolte's memory will be cherished and honored by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Pastor Emily Beckering at St Paul Lutheran Church, the caregivers and friends who supported Jean throughout her journey, especially the nurses and aides at The Lodge Retirement Community where she spent the last two years of her life, as well as the staff of Queen City Hospice who walked with her in her final days.
Jean's life was a gift to us all, and her spirit will forever guide us in the pursuit of kindness, compassion, faith, and love for one another.
Family and friends will be received from 10 AM to 11 AM, Thursday, December 7, 2023, at St. Paul Lutheran Church 106 Maple St., Reading, OH 45215, until the time of service at 11 AM. Interment Rest Haven Memorial Park. Donations in Jean's honor may be made to St Paul Lutheran Church, 106 Maple St., Reading, OH 45215.
