Jean Ann Karcher Bishop, 91, passed away on September 28, 2024 in Loveland, Ohio. Beloved mother to Mike (Yvonne), David (Elis) and Clara (Stuart) Blair, preceded in death by her son, William J. Bishop.
Jean was born to the late John Paul and Florence (Kaes) Karcher on May 20, 1933. She was preceded in death by her brother Paul John Karcher, sister Ruth Ryan and former spouse William H. Bishop. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Jean was a devoted wife and mother well known for her artistic creativity, boundless imagination, drawing, sewing and crafts. Jean was a proud graduate of St. Gertrude (Madeira) and St. Mary Hyde Park Class of '51, attending University of Cincinnati as an Art major. She worked at Hospital Care, Speedy Pics, Mabley & Carew, Silverton Frisch's, and Strietmann's Bakery. Thereafter, she focused on raising her family. Jean loved her parents, children, toys and miniatures, numerous pets, Reds, Bengals and games of Yahtzee or cards.
Friends and family may call at St. Columban Catholic Church, 894 Oakland Rd. Loveland, Ohio from 9:45 to 10:45 am on October 11, 2024. Requiem Mass will follow. Inurnment at Calvary Cemetery, Evanston, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to the Saint Columban Tuition Assistance Fund , or the Saint Mary Hyde Park School Annual Fund Program .
Her children would like to thank the exceptional staff and volunteers at Hospice of Cincinnati for their loving compassion and care.
