Jarod Michael Hirsch, a dedicated son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend died June 5, 2026, at the age of 54. Jarod was born July 13, 1971, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He lived a life rich in outdoor adventure, learning, and laughter with family and friends.

Jarod was a graduate of Loveland High School. He played golf as a high school student and tried out at Ohio State University and was accepted onto their golf team as a “walk on” where he was also an Evans Scholar. Jarod earned his PGA card and for several years was the teaching pro at Hickory Woods Golf Course and Family Golf before leaving to start his own highly successful turfgrass care company. Lawn Dimensions will continue to serve many businesses and families in the Greater Cincinnati area. He even braved the Ohio cold and provided much-needed snow and ice removal in the winter months for many years. The decision to build a business led to a life of learning which went down many different winding roads of knowledge and experience, culminating in a broad expanse of practical wisdom which he was always happy to share in an evening armchair chat.

He was a gifted storyteller and had a knack for making people laugh. He had genuine warmth in all he did. He was an avid hunter and outdoors man, spending as much of his time under the sun recreationally as he did professionally. He enjoyed golf, fishing, and camping. He loved boating out on the water, taking care of the yard, anything with feeling of the world around him and listening to the whisper of the woods.

Cherished son of David and Judy Hirsch. Dear brother of Jennifer (Blake) Kirby, Jamie (Brian) Isaacs, Joel Hirsch, and Nate Hirsch. Devoted husband of 25 years to Catherine (nee Honkomp) Hirsch. Loving Papa of Leila Hirsch, Alexander (Tritney) Hirsch, Samantha (Adam) Stricker, and Zechariah (Samantha) Thurman. Proudgrandfather of Cooper Hirsch, Bentley Hirsch, Michael Thurman, and Jacob Thurman. Jarod will be deeply missed by his family and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will live on through the love, shared memories, and family he brought to life.

Friends and family will be received from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N Riverside Ave, Loveland, Ohio, 45140. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, June 11 at St. Columban Church, 894 Oakland Rd, Loveland, Ohio, 45140.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jarod's memory may be directed towards the American Lung Association or the Jarod Hirsch Memorial Fund.
