IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Janine Ruann
Cromer
February 7, 1971 – January 31, 2024
Janine Ruann Cromer, 52, of Martinsville, Ohio, passed away on January 31, 2024, in Dayton, Ohio.
She was the loving mother of Paiton Walker; beloved daughter of Ruann Cromer and Willis Cromer; dear sister of Doreen Wiseman (Zeb Pressley), Pamela Baessler (Paul Baessler), Paul Cromer, Robert Cromer, Julie Cromer (Bryan Moon), and David Cromer (Sunny Collins); fondly known as "Aunt Neen" by her many nieces and nephews, Kristina (Heath), Kyle, Sean (Lauren), Amanda, Ryann (Jesse), Trey, Loghan, Caleb, Kyanna, Kinley, Gabriel, and Rees; great-aunt of Brandtley, Colton, and Jaxon. Janine was preceded in death by her father, Willis Cromer; niece, Kathryn Baessler; nephew, Christian Cromer. She was the middle child with three older siblings and three younger siblings. She was truly the "glue" that held us all together. Her first thoughts were always of others' needs.
Janine started her life's journey in Anchorage, Alaska. She went on to graduate Wilmington High School and attend the Columbus College of Art and Design. She was an artist, decorator, painter, creator, and avid gardener, who had the rare ability to create beauty from the simplest things. Her rock collection was vast and impressive and inspired family members to bring her rocks from places they traveled. Janine had this amazing ability to love you like her own, no matter how little time you'd known her. That love came not only from her tender heart and bubbly personality, but also her profound attention to detail. She was beautifully meticulous when she loved you, and that thoroughness carried over to her sense of decoration. Janine could take any empty space given to her and make it a place to call home. It was like she took some of the life and warmth out of her and projected it onto the spaces she beautified. She was especially into plant and floral arrangements, which always leapt out of the soil they were rooted in, as bright and colorful as she was.
