Janet Ann Ziegler (nee Dallum) was born August 28, 1946 in Minneapolis, MN. She was adopted by Ruth and Martin Dallum and was raised in Fisher, MN, where she lived until she graduated high school. She moved to Minneapolis and attended Golden Valley Lutheran College. Janet then moved to Los Angeles where she worked for an answering service where she met her husband Fred Ziegler. After their son Mark was born, they moved to Fisher, MN where she started Z-Place. After Jan lost the love of her life Fred, she moved to Cincinnati, OH to be closer to her son Mark. In Cincinnati, she met a whole new group of friends and her best friend, Gale, whom was with her until the last moments. Gale and Jan had fun together for five years. On August 19, 2014, Jan lost her courageous four year battle with breast cancer.
She is survived by her son Mark Ziegler; daughter Alanna and her two children; brother Jerry Dallum; niece Gina Rocha (George); her very special aunt Fern Christianson and close honorary family members Bobby Brown, Mike Richter, Weston Petryszyn, Ray Skari and Matt and James Pyatte. She is also survived by the beloved Ziegler family and many nieces, nephews and a countless amount of wonderful friends.
Friends will be received from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27 at Fisher Lutheran Church, 205 2nd St. S., Fisher, MN 56723, where a memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m.
