Obituary

JANET L. FERGUSON (nee Smith), age 91, of Loveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on July 10, 2026. She was born April 24, 1935 - the eldest of four of the late Ralph Leslie Smith and Minna Smith. She married the late James Ferguson on July 30, 1955, and they had four children, Mike, Steve, Laura and Tom. Janet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and is survived by her children, 12 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Her life was truly shaped by her love for her family and faith.

Jim and Janet were big supporters of the Cincinnati Fine Arts Fund. Janet loved the outdoors and her flower and vegetable gardens - always having a fresh bouquet on the table and veggies from her garden for her family. She crocheted baby blankets for her grandchildren when they were born.

She also loved to travel, going to Germany and Italy with Jim and going on many trips antiquing with her friends and family. She volunteered on the Miamiville Life Squad in the early 70s. She took piano lessons as a child and loved playing simple duets with her grandchildren

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 15 from 9:45 - 10:45 AM at St. Columban Church, 894 Oakland Rd., Loveland, where Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM. A Graveside Service will follow at 2 PM at Evergreen Cemetery, 234 Center Street (St Rt 126), Miamiville, OH.

Donations in Janet's name, may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
