Jane (nee Holt) Benney of Loveland. Beloved wife of the late Clarence Benney, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1919, and passed away July 29, 2014 in Madeira, OH. Clarence and Jane were married May 3rd, 1941, in Cincinnati, OH. They raised five children in Loveland, Richard, Jane Ann, Gayle, Steve, and Diane. Jane worked most of her life as a school teacher with Loveland City Schools. After she retired, Clarence and Jane bought a farm near the spillway of Cowan Lake, outside of Clarksville, OH, and turned the old farm house into a very successful restaurant, "The Spillway Lodge." Jane is survived by her children: Richard Benney, Jane Ann Robinson, Gayle Dawahare, Steven Benney, and Diane Coale; her 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Family and friends will be received from 12-1 PM on Monday, August 4 at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 129 N Riverside Ave, Loveland, OH 45140, where services will be held at 1 PM.
