James William Baker of Newtown, OH. Born on June 28, 1925 in Cincinnati, OH. Went home to be with the Lord on March 21, 2019 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Margarett Ann (nee Hensdill) Baker. Loving father of David (Debbie) Baker, Daniel Baker and Mark (Anna) Baker. Caring grandfather of Elizabeth (Aaron) Lanier, Lauren (Brian) Howell, Stephanie (Levi) Edmisten, Dale Baker and Alicia (Terrell) Walker. Proud great-grandfather of Reece Lanier, Mollie Lanier, Michael Howell, Liam Howell, Landyn Edmisten, Isaiah Edmisten, Samuel Baker, Jace Rosteustcher, Brantley Rosteustcher, Mia Walker and Ty Lanier. Dear brother of Marilyn Herbert and the late Kenneth Baker and Betty Daniel. Cherished son of the late William and Bertha Elizabeth (nee O'Connor) Baker. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends. James proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, March 26, 10 AM - 11 AM at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where services will begin at 11 AM. Interment with military honors, Batavia Union Cemetery.
