James Arthur Wengert, 61, passed away peacefully at home Friday Nov. 11th, 2016 with his family home. Jim lost his long-fought battle with cancer and the accompanying complications. Jim was very creative, an artist, musician, inventor, and self-taught skilled woodworker - a true individual with strong beliefs and character. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Melvin and Carolyn (Adler) Wengert, his dear aunt, Lorraine Wengert, and his twin brother, Paul Wengert. He is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia (Derrick) Wengert and his adoring son, Jacob Wengert. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald Derrick and Barbara Derrick, brother-in-law , Kimball Derrick, sister-in-law, Jennifer Dobbs and best friend Ron Dickman.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 2 PM at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 4312 Amelia-Olive Branch Rd., Batavia, OH.
Pastor Joe Royer will be officiating the services for Jim.
