James Stanley Watkins of Loveland. Beloved husband of the late Janet Lee Watkins (nee Penny). Loving father of Randy Scott (Jonelle) Watkins and the late Timothy Karl (Barbara) Penny and Jill Lynn Eckman (nee Moranti). Dear father-in-law of Mark Eckman. Proud grandfather of Brandon Smith, Anthony Smith, Bradley Watkins, Michelle (Eric) White, Amanda Eckman and the late Pamela Watkins. Great grandfather of nine great grandchildren. Dear brother of Judy Rottinghaus, Jackie Watkins and the late Virginia Carol Sewell, Jeryl Watkins and John Watkins. Also survived by his childhood friend, Richard Masterson. Passed away June 28, 2025, at the age of 81.

James was an active member of AA and sober for over 40 years,

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, July 8 from 6-8 PM in the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Ave., Loveland, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 9 at 11 AM. Interment Union Cemetery.
