Jim Cravens of Blanchester. Beloved husband for 61 years of Glenna J. Shank Cravens, dear father of Gary (Diana) Carvens, Jerry (Beverly) Cravens, and of the late Jimmy Ray Cravens, caring brother of Melvin Cravens, Matrie Morgan, and of the late Lovy Cravens, Ruth Martin, Willard Cravens, Jessie Sharp, loving grandpa of B.J. Cravens, Lori Cravens, Ron (Laura Jean) Cravens, Dan (Angie) Cravens, great grandfather of Kellan Cravens, Cody Cravens, Aidan King, Gary Lee Cravens, Tori Cravens, and special friend of Morris (Mona) Hale and Edith Allen, and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. April 1, 2009 at age 89. Jim served in the Marine Corps, 2nd Battalion, during World War II. He helped capture Guadalcanal, Gilbert Islands, Saipan and Timian, M.I. He was a member of the VFW Morrow, Ohio, F. and A.M. Lodge #191 Blanchester, and the Scottish Rite of the Valley of Cincinnati.
