James "Jim" Richard Vearil, 69, of Morrow, Ohio, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on February 21, 2020.
Jim was born on February 2, 1951 to the late Thomas and Helen Vearil.
Jim is survived by his wife, Sheila Vearil of Morrow, Ohio; his five children, Michelle (Brad) Huffman, Jenny (Darrell) Seymour, J.R. (April) Vearil, Clinton Vearil, and Carrie (Tish) Johnson; six grandchildren, Miranda Vearil, Marissa Vearil, Macy Vearil, Ethan Seymour, Tidus Vearil, and Teagan Vearil; one great-grandson, Rhett Sackenheim; three brothers, Kenneth, Thomas, and Ronald Vearil; four sisters Chris Anderson, Kathy Dorcheff, Sharron Huff, and Margie Vearil; mother-in-law, Kathleen Thompson; beloved dogs, Megan and Molly; numerous family and friends.
Jim was an Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War, a life long concrete contractor and a volunteer for the Little Miami Food Pantry. Jim loved spending time with his family and friend; and was an avid cook. For many years Jim loved spending time raising cattle and farming with his lifelong friend, Bob Rapp. Jim also loved to play the guitar, banjo, and singing with family.
A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ohio, where friends will be received from 10am until the time of service.
Interment will take place at Edwardsville Cemetery, Harlan Township.
