James Edward Schoettle of Batavia, OH. Passed away on May 30, 2022 at the age of 61. Born on July 26, 1960 in Cincinnati, OH. Beloved husband of 25 years to Cindy Jane (nee Sharp) Schoettle. Loving father of Julie Johnson, Deena (Andrew) Raub, Becky Schoettle, D. J. (Erica) Schoettle and Duane Sharp. Proud grandfather of Casey, Harley, Kaitlyn, JJ, Leah, Breanna, Paige, Gabe, Emmy, Eli, David, Lindsay, Justin and Jasmine. Dear brother of Dawnetta, Andrea, Lou and Chuck. Cherished son of the late Donald Edward and Maggie Lee (nee Burress) Schoettle. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends. Friends will be received from 11:00 AM to 12 Noon on Monday, June 6 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where services will begin at 12 Noon. Interment, Goshen Cemetery. Pastor Mark Machan will be the minister for the services.
