James R. "Dutch, Sweet Jimmy" Slaughter of Loveland, OH., formerly of Cincinnati, OH. Born on September 1, 1926. Passed away on February 1, 2016, age 89. Beloved husband of Patricia Slaughter. Loving father of Kate Hammer and the late Donna Suggs. Step-father of Joe Hoerst, Deborah Mays and the late Mike and Rhonda Hoerst. Proud grandfather of 3 grandchildren, numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step great-grandchild. Dear brother Dorothy, Helen and the late Cliff. Cherished son of the late Layfayette and Florence (nee Rager) Slaughter. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Jim proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII. A man who always created laughter...he leaves it to us to carry on that tradition. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, February 5, 1 PM at New St. Joseph Cemetery, 4500 Foley Rd., Cincinnati, OH. 45238.
