Beloved husband of Fran (nee Gorey) Purnell. Loving father of Carol Purnell, Janet (Dave) Abbott, Patrice (Cy) Harris and Steve Purnell. Devoted grandfather of Doug and Adrienne Abbott. Dear brother of Richard and Donald Purnell. 1948 graduate of Xavier University. Army Air Corp Veteran during World War II.
