James E. McMahan, age 87, passed away March 8, 2014. Beloved husband of 65 years to Jean (nee Hemmerle). Loving father of Tina Connolly (Greg), Jim McMahan (Laurie) and Sean McMahan (Barbara). Proud grandfather of Matthew and Michael (deceased) Mulholland, Ryan, Alex, Lauren, Abby, Jack and Peter McMahan, Erin and Ryan Connolly and Kalman, Michael and Bennett Heyn. Son of the late Wilbur and Myrl McMahan. Dear brother of Ted McMahan (the late Alma), Kathleen Mountjoy (Jim) and the late Patrick McMahan (Judy) and Tom McMahan (Ruth). U.S. Army WWII Veteran. James was an active member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, where he was a daily communicant and distributed communion at Bethesda North Hospital. He was a devoted husband and loved his family who best described him as always sweet, generous and comical. He loved to be surrounded by laughter. With a desire to always stay current, James loved to learn and was always trying new things. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 12 Noon at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 8815 E. Kemper Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45249, where friends will be received on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
