James Richard "Dick" McCain, 90, of Pleasant Plain, Ohio, passed away on December 31, 2018 surrounded by family. He was the beloved husband of Marilyn McCain; loving father of Judy (James) Burton and Linda (Mike) Beckler; proud grandfather of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; dear brother-in-law of Bonnie Norman; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen (nee Norman) McCain; parents, Clay and Rachel McCain; sisters, Lois Hitch and Bettie Baynum; brother, Ruben McCain. Friends will be received from 6-8pm on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ohio. The funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Blanchester Church of Christ, 911 Cherry St., Blanchester, Ohio.
