James "Jim" A. King, 84, of Masonic Home, Kentucky, passed away on March 13, 2024. He was born on February 27, 1940, in Cincinnati, Ohio and attended Norwood High School and Cincinnati Mechanic's Institute. Jim, a hardworking man, then dedicated 37 years of his life to General Electric before retiring to Fort Myers, Florida.
In Fort Myers, he found joy in volunteering as "Lucky" the Shriners Clown, bringing smiles to countless children's faces. His charitable spirit extended to working with Habitat for Humanity, where he continued to spread happiness. Additionally, Jim was an enthusiastic golfer, relishing his time on the course with friends six days a week.
Jim is survived by his children Cindy (Joe) Solecki, Bonnie King and Jim P. (Ashley) King, siblings David (Dollie) King and Donna (Alan) Marsh, as well as grandchildren Alex, Eric (Merrill), and Nick Martin, Wyatt and Josh King, and great-grandchildren Archie and Stella Martin. He was preceded in death by his mother Janet Hull, stepfather Homer Hull, and father Ernest King.
A Graveside Service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery on Saturday, March 23, at 11:00 am (234 Center Street, Miamiville, Ohio 45147). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriners Children's Hospital online at www.donate.lovetotherescue.org/give or by mail to Shriners Children's, Attn: Shriners Children's, PO Box 947765, Atlanta, GA 30394.
Jim's dedication to bringing joy to others and his vibrant spirit will be dearly missed. The Graveside Service is being handled by Tufts Schildmeyer in Loveland.
