With sadness, love and profound gratitude, the family of James "Jim" Howard Figart announces his passing on January 5, 2022. Jim was born on October 26, 1955 in Bluffton, Ohio. He was the loving son of Harold Kermit Figart and Lora Emeralderine (nee Todd) Figart. Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Ruth (nee Combs) Figart; his son, Daniel James (Valerie) Figart of Goshen, OH; his grandson, Atticus Figart; his other grandchildren, Alex Buerkle, Keiler (Jenna) Edwards; his great-grandkids, Mason Edwards, Ember Edwards, Finn Edwards and Ayra Nevis; 4 brothers, Gary (Muriel) Figart, Glenn (Pam) Figart, Roger (Debbie) Figart Sr. and Paul (Connie) Figart; and many close nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, relatives and dear friends. Jim was a resident of Blanchester, Ohio. He recently retired from American Showa. He proudly served his country in Desert Storm and retired from the United States Air Force in 1995 as a Technical Sergeant. He was a profound animal lover in his life and enjoyed his many cherished Pug Dogs. Friends will be received from 10 AM to 11 AM on Thursday, January 13 at Blanchester Church of Christ, 911 Cherry St., Blanchester. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11 AM with military honors provided by the Blanchester American Legion Post 179. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations in Jim's memory be made to the Clinton County Animal Shelter, 1760 Fife Ave, Wilmington, OH 45177 Elder Glenn Figart and Pastor Paul Casteel will be the minister's for Jim's services.
