James "Jim" Ellis of Cincinnati. Beloved husband of Fran (nee Peach) Ellis. Loving father of Rusty (Laura) Ellis, Rand Ellis, Rod (Jackie) Ellis, Rich (Jenny) Ellis, Michael (Kathy) Brunner, Michael Elstun, and Mark (Diana) Elstun. Cherished grandfather of 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Devoted son of the late Hillman and Jewell Ellis. Dear brother of the late Wayne "Bud" (Ima) Ellis. Passed away April 3, 2020 at the age of 83. Jim loved public service, holding the office of mayor (Erlanger, KY) during the US bicentennial. He stayed engaged with politics throughout his life. Professionally his career was filled with sales, entrepreneurial endeavors, and financial planning. He loved to learn, and had a special retirement-era interest in the law. Late into retirement he could be found visiting parishioners in the hospital and sending note-cards of encouragement. Due to the current health concerns linked with COVID-19, the family will be holding private services at this time. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
