James “Jim” Joseph Calvin, age 84, passed away on October 18, 2026, at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born on June 13, 1942, in Campbell County, Kentucky, to the late Samuel James Calvin and Dorothy May (née Thomas) Calvin.

Jim is survived by his children, Jeffrey Allen (Leah) West, Tim (Becky) West, Michael James Calvin, and Amy Lynn (Tim) Bradley; his grandchildren, Jeffrey, Justin, Jenna, Rob, Jared, Sammy, Carley, and Chloe; numerous great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Barbara Malone and Sandy Calvin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Mae Francis (née Johnson) Calvin, and his brother, Joe Calvin.

Jim loved hot rods, Harleys, and trail riding with his horses. He will be remembered with love by his family and all who knew him.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 State Route 28, Goshen, Ohio, where a memorial service will begin at 12:00 noon. Inurnment will take place at Graceland Memorial Gardens in Milford, Ohio.
