James "Jim" A. Fleming of Blanchester, OH. Born on July 19, 1919 in Morrisville, OH. Went home to be with the Lord on March 11, 2016 at the age of 96.
Beloved husband of the late Betty L. (nee Dudley ) Fleming. Loving father of Kay (Kenneth) Stegall of Clarksville, OH. and Carole (Bill) Gaul of Blanchester, OH. Proud grandfather of 6 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Dear half brother of Lawrence Fleming. Preceded in death by his parents, James and Merle (nee Nicely) Fleming, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Jim proudly served in the United States Army Infantry in the South Pacific during World War II. Jim was a member of the Blanchester American Legion Post 179, Blanchester F & AM Lodge 191, Jr. OUAM #134 and Grace United Methodist Church.
Services will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2 PM, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, where friends will be received from 1 PM until the time of service. Masonic Lodge 191 Service will be held at 2 PM.
Interment with military honors at Blanchester I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Rev. Dan Mayo will be the minister for Jim's services.
Pallbearers for Jim are: Bill Gaul, BJ Gaul, Braeden Gaul, Chris Bradley, Justin Runevitch, Adam Conover, Ken Stegall and Brian Stegall.
