James J. Gardner, of Pleasant Plain, Ohio, passed away on August 17, 2021 at the age of 64. Born on May 17, 1957 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of Donald A. and Anna M. Gardner. He was the beloved husband of Tina Gardner; devoted father of Jessie (Craig) Rood, Jessica (Rob) Meyer, and Katie Gardner; loving grandfather of Kenzie, Miranda, Casey, Cole, Erin, and Jaxon; proud great-grandfather of Gabriel, Ezekiel, and Willow; dear brother to nine siblings; uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; sister Renee. Friends and family will be received from 5-8pm on August 24, 2021 at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, Ohio. Procession will leave the funeral home at 11am on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 for the graveside service at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Cincinnati, Ohio, where military honors will be held by the Ohio Southwest VFW. In lieu of flowers, the family request donation to a favorite charity and/or church. Those near and dear to their heart are St. Joseph Home and Matthew 25 Ministries.
