Obituary

James "Frank" Franklin Ramsey, 63, of Loveland, Ohio, was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on March 15, 2023. Frank is survived by his wife, Anne, children Kurt and Jean, grandsons Erik and Shane, his sisters Janet (Arlon) Graef, Bettie Inez (Ronnie) Glover, his sister-in-law Amy Kovach, nieces Caitlyn Kovach, Eryn Graef Brochtrup, Stephenie Koerne, nephews Joshua and Joe Corn, Kevin Glover, Justin, Corey and Tyler Graef. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Joe Annie Ramsey.

Frank was born in New Mexico and as a child, traveled the world through his father's letters when he was on military deployments. This led Frank to form an interest in world economics and politics at an early age. Throughout his life, Frank continued to expand his knowledge of foreign economies, religion and cultures, especially when world news outlets became a part of our daily lives and his son, Kurt, traveled the world as a US Marine. Frank grew up in rural Texas and in his formative years, he utilized the Ramsey country acreage as his playground. He honed his skills as an outdoorsman by exploring nature, hiking, hunting, fishing and farming. His curiosity assisted him in understanding all of God's creations.

Frank loved to learn, excelling in school, earning his degree in computer science to fulfill his dream of joining the Information Age. He always embraced technology and encouraged others to be early adopters so technology would quickly advance. He passed his love of technology to his daughter, Jean, who is now a graphic designer. His career as a computer programmer, coupled with his humble approach to living, enabled him to become family with the clients he served, often times attending church with them and participating in their family activities while being away from home for work.

Frank's legacy includes a passion for astronomy, which he passed onto his children and grandchildren. Erik and Shane's solar system artwork always made Granddad smile with pride. More notably was his deep connection with music. Through this connection, he developed an unbreakable bond with his children, making memories by attending concerts, and enhancing road trips, and life with music. Music became their foundation and common language. Music helped Frank minister to youth at the Underground in Cincinnati, where he took a volunteer leadership role in Security at local and national concerts. He had an amazing approach with the youth, always welcoming their expression of themselves through the music. Music continued to be a big part of Frank's life, even at his Memory Care, where he enjoyed dancing with his caregivers during the day and with Anne in the evenings.

Frank married Anne in 1998 and together they built a life based on faith, love, family and respect. Cherished memories were created during their world travels, outdoor adventures, serving others through volunteer activities, spending time with family, entertaining friends, home improvement projects, cooking together, learning new things and celebrating moments of joy in everyday life.

Frank was a humble, courageous and treasured person. Family and friends will miss him dearly and his legacy will be celebrated through the lives of his wife, children and grandchildren. The Ramsey family would like to express their deepest gratitude for everyone who walked this journey with them.
