James R. Fischer of Loveland. Beloved husband of 46 years to Maxine Fischer. Loving father of Terri (the late Wayne) Newbauer, Richard "Rick" (Lori) Holbrook, Greg Fischer (deceased), Michael Fischer, Rebecca Fischer, Troy Chadwell and Michael Chadwell. Proud grandfather of six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his five siblings. Passed away Friday, September 27, 2024, at the age of 88.

After his retirement, James worked for Habitat for Humanity for two years, where he plumbed 12 houses and earned the Golden Hammer Award.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, October 12 from 10-11 AM in the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Ave., Loveland, where a Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM.
