Dear son of the late Gathen and Catherine Dews. Loving father of James Dews Jr., Gregory Dews, and Derrick (Kirsten) Dews. Caring grandfather of Jennifer, Ricki, and Derrick Dews. Dear brother of Gathen (Judy)Dews Jr., Ellis (Rose) Dews Sr., and Nelvin Keys. He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Loving nephew of Cordie Francis. Caring brother-in-law to Kanowia Dews, Mary Lee Dews. James served in the U.S. Army and retired from General Motors in Dayton and Norwood.
