Obituary

James Noble Cox, Jr. (Jim) of Mt. Orab, OH went home to be with the Lord on September 27, 2023. Born on January 20, 1949 in Bethel, OH. The son of the late James and Ethel Cox. Beloved brother of Tyrone (Pat), Arnold, and Bobby (Mary).

Jim is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years Alma Jean Cox (Nevels), brother Randall, Sisters Portia and Margie.

He is survived by his girlfriend Jill Powers; daughter Kelly Pridemore, son Gary Cox; granddaughter Lacey Hall; grandsons Kevin Cox, Brendan Cox, Dalton Pridemore, Anthony Cox; great grandchildren Ian Cox, Evan Cox, Emma Cox, Ellianna Cox, Paris Styles. Brothers Tyrone (Pat), Arnold, Bobby (Mary), Sister-in-law Janie Cox; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Jim's bonus family: Michelle Craddock, Mona (Daniel) Hardy, Jeron Chingo, and Gordon (Annie) Lewis; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jim was a person with a deep faith knowing Jesus as Lord. He had a heart for those who needed a chance at overcoming obstacles to become successful people. He gave a lot of himself over the years to help, not only his children and grandchildren, but many others as well.

He loved camping on the river, fishing, traveling, and playing Euchre with family and friends. He brought joy and smiles wherever he went. He will be deeply missed.

A special thank you to the First Baptist Church of Felicity, OH for the use of the church building for a celebration of life gathering that will be held for close friends and family on Saturday, October 14th at 1:00 PM. In-lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jim's name to the First Baptist Church of Felicity, Ohio or another charity of your choice.
