James L. Adams passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 at the age of 74. He was born on December 4, 1946 in Corbin, Kentucky, son of James and Stella Smith. James was a loving father and grandfather. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Blanchester. James was a member of the Teamsters Local 100. He is survived by his children, Brian "Keith" (Stacey) Adams, Travis Lee (Amy) Adams and Wendy Mae (George) Smith; grandchildren, Ashley (Matthew) Leach, Daizey and Jorgia Smith, Haley, Noah and Jonah Adams; step-grandchildren, Melita, Nathanael and Anna Freytag, and Trista Freytag Varela; great-grandchildren, Leo Michael and Avery James Leach. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louetta "Marie" Adams; adoptive mother, Amanda Adams; adoptive siblings, Nathan Creed Adams, Elsie I Graham, Leo Howard Adams, Clarence Adams, Jr., and Eleanor Adams. Friends will be received from 6-8pm on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ohio 45107. A funeral service will be held at 12pm on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the First Baptist Church, 304 W Center St, Blanchester, OH 45107, where friends will be received from 11am until the time of service. Interment will take place at Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery, Lynchburg, Ohio.
