James "Jim" A. Rains of Blanchester, OH passed away on Tuesday January 7, 2014 at the age of 75. Jim was born on May 11, 1938 to Brent and Dora (nee Perkins) Rains. Jim was a 54 year member of Blanchester F.O.E. Jim retired from the Ford Motor Company after 31 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Peggy (nee Stanforth) Rains; children Cathy (Bill) Stevenson, Shannon Baker, Shana (Chad) Flint and Tracie (Oris) Potts; proud grandfather of Dustin, Shawn, Cassidy, Brittany, Alisha, Nicole, Shelby, Tristin, Shylynn, Brooklynn, Orin, Olivia, Tessa, Torie and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Raymond and Allison "Al" Rains. Caring cremation will take place. Memorial services and F.O.E. services will be held at 6 PM on Thursday January 16, 2014 at the Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St. Blanchester, OH 45107, where friends and family will be received from 5 PM until time of service.
