Beloved husband of 58 years to Lynda (nee Spangler) Ertel. Loving father of Rick Ertel of Blanchester, OH., Jackie Shepherd of Lebanon, OH. and Kirk Ertel of Butlerville, OH. Caring grandfather of Richard (Athena) Shepherd, Brandon Ertel, Andrea (Ryan) Newton, Timothy Ertel, Christopher Ertel and Michael Ertel. Proud great-grandfather of Skye Shepherd, Aaden Shepherd, Braicen Ertel, Bryssa Ertel, Layla Shepherd and McKenzie Newton. Dear brother of the late Larry Ertel. Cherished son of the late Arthur and Helen (nee Kirk) Ertel. Jack was a welding instructor for over 21 years at Warren County Career Center. He also worked at Monsanto Mound Laboratory. Friends will be received on Sunday, August 28, 2 PM - 4 PM at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, where services will be held on Monday, August 29, 10 AM. Interment, Blanchester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Brian Richard will be the minister for Jack's services.
