Irma Jewel Smith, 76, of New Vienna, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on May 3, 2024.
Born May 3, 1948, in Knox County, Kentucky, daughter of Golden and Enda Jordan. She married the love of her life, Lewis Smith, to whom she had been married for 38 years. After Lewis passed, Irma married Floyd Messer to whom she was married to for 15 years before his passing.
She was the beloved mother of David (Kim) Smith, Sharon (Granville) Saylor, Joyce (Vincent) Lamb, James (Emma) Smith, and Derry (Ginger) Smith; loving grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of 15.
Along with her parents and two husbands, Irma was preceded in death by her son, Billy Smith; granddaughter, Briana Marie Smith; father and mother-in-law, James and Lula Smith; sisters, Nettie Smith and three infant sisters; brother, Charles Jordan; Niece, Heather Jordan; brother-in-law, Arvil Smith and Ramon Smith; sister-in-law, Nora Rogers.
Irma and her husband, Lewis, founded the Midland Holiness Church, where she was still a member. She loved serving God and her faith in Him was so strong. Irma is known for her beautiful voice and her kindness. She always saw good in everyone and was always the peacemaker. Her desire was for everyone to go to heaven. Irma will always be deeply missed every day.

Friends will be received from 6-8pm on Monday, May 6, 2024, at Midland Holiness Church, 220 Mitchell Ave., Midland, Ohio 45148.
The funeral will be held at 11am on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Midland Holiness Church.
Interment will take place at Westboro Cemetery, Jefferson Township.
