Irene Brooks was born January 2, 1928 to Ferdinand and Gertrude (nee Inkrott) Nartker and passed away January 28, 2017 at the age of 89. She was retired from the Cincinnati Milacron and enjoyed playing Euchre and gardening with the Blanchester Garden Club. She is survived by her children, Stephen (Terri) Brooks, Bill (Delanea Love) Brooks, Charles (Terri) Brooks, Michael Brooks and Margaret (Tom) Mobley; 18 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; special companion, Charles Leisz; and sister-in-law, Ann Osborn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Juliann Miller; her husband, Ralph; brothers, Casper, Sylvester, Leo and Richard Nartker; sisters, Martha McCarthy, Sister Helen Nartker and Regina Geisz. Friends will be received from 5-8 PM on Wednesday February 1, 2017 at the Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St. Blanchester, OH 45107. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Thursday February 2, 2017 at Holy Name Chapel, 746 St. Rt. 133 Blanchester, OH 45107. Interment Blanchester I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
